The Lotus Palace

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share this palace scene that I’ve been working on for a while, exploring various features of Unreal Engine, including Nanite, Lumen, level instancing, vertex painting, RGB masking, PCG and more.

The Lotus Palace draws inspiration from majestic Indian palaces and forts, blending Rajasthani and Mughal architectural elements. Its grand domes, intricate carvings, jharokhas, enabled me to polish my modeling skills, and experiment a lot with different techniques.

One of the biggest challenges was perfecting the layout while ensuring that the details didn’t make the scene feel too visually overwhelming. Striking the right balance between richness and readability was key for me, and I hope I was able to achieve that!

Some of the models such as elephant, lion, and horse statue used in the scene were taken from sketchfab, and free resources. It was tweaked to fit them better in the world.

Would love to hear your thoughts—feedback is always welcome!
